Freelance Success

Monica Davidson spent 19 years as a successful film producer, and during this time she found that work as a freelancer was becoming increasingly complicated. In the early 1990s she developed Freelance Success, a business based around a specialised course that supports and nurtures freelancers.

Targeting freelancers of all kinds including creative, mechanical, artistic and musical, Freelance Success has developed a reputation for being the course to attend if you are embarking on freelance work or you are already an established freelancer.
Monica is living proof that it is possible to make a successful living by working for yourself in the Arts and she wants to share that with fellow freelancers in Australia. In June 2008, she will release her first book titled Freelance Success – a bible for all freelancers. Plans to expand the Freelance Success brand to country-specific and industry-specific editions are also in the works.

How we joined the dots . . .

Our PR campaign aimed to:

  • Publicise Freelance Success workshops initially to the local Sydney market.
  • Promote Monica as the ‘voice’ for all things to do with freelancers in Australia.
  • Create hype about the forthcoming book.
  • Publicise the book through personal profiles, excerpts, case studies, commendations, reviews.
  • Educate the public about the fulfilling life of a freelancer and change their mindset to see that you can be successful.
  • Form alliances with various organisations to increase Freelance Success’s exposure.
